This course is for those people who have a digital camera but are uncertain about using it in anything other than the most automatic mode. The course assumes nothing about your skills and aims to demystify and explain what all those things on your camera do. The course is for those with compact type cameras as well as SLR type cameras. The aim is to help you make better use of your digital camera and therefore make better photographs. The course is exclusively camera based and apart from explaining downloading images to a computer does not deal with any manipulations, sizing, or printing using a computer. A separate course Introduction to Photoshop is planned for after the summer. Short projects will be set for those who wish to practise what is taught in class however these are not obligatory, just recommended. If you thought buying a digital camera would improve your photographs and found this not to be the case this course might just resurrect your faith in consumerism! The course tutor is Keith Barnes founder of the Please note: Due to popular demand, we are running two courses this semester as follows...
